Hi All,I drive a 92 e36 318 from the UK. It's most likely an entry level basic model (the rear windows and sunroof are all manually operated), and it doesn't have OBD or other features which I read about in this forum. Need some help from you guys:1. How would I know that I have ABS through a visual inspection of the engine compartment? How does the ABS piece looks like? I am suspecting that my car doesn't come with it because the wheels have locked up on a few occasions during hard braking. Alternatively, is there any online resource that I can tap into to find out based on my VIN no? 2. Last month I changed the dics and pads (ori BMW discs and ATE pads, calipers upgraded to 325 vented discs), however I noticed that after driving the car for a while the brakes start to squel, will a brake cleaner resolve this? What are the tell tale signs of a glazed brake pad?3. The headlights have water in them when it rains. Is this a common problem? If it isn't, what can be done to eliminate this?Appreciate all your pointers. Cheers

If i'm not mistaken, u can see if u have ABS by looking under the hood. You should have a device that controls your ABS there. Its the ABS pump.

Looks something like this.

Hi Malz,

Thanks for the pic. I've looked under my bonnet but the closest item i can find which looks like that is highlighted in the pictures (next to the power steering fluid tank). Where is it usually located?

Thanks mate.

bro dammu

it's usually located at the circle of your 1st attached picture ... but seems like your e36 M40 is an UK spec whereby the battery is located right in the front ...therfore the ABS could be somewhere below the bat plate or hidden else where or maybe it's without an ABS :) ....

based on your 3 attached picture i can't see the ABS being there ....
