Possible source of whistling sound during high speed..

Sometimes my UDM makes a whistling sound from the front of the car.It comes on and off even during not so high speed.I know this is not due to defect on the door seals because the sound seems to be from outside due to wind resistance.I found out that the cause of the sound could possibly comes from the bonnet not being closed properly.If you don't close the bonnet with a thud sound there will be a space that you can insert your index finger in between and this can possibly the source of the whistling sound.If your UDM gives you the same irritating sound please check if you close your bonnet properly.I hope my prognosis is correct may be some of you guys have the same experience as mine..
