Hi All, Just want to share my recent experince with members of this forum. Owners of non M-Sport with no bluetooth capability might find this interesting. I recently got a hold of a iTech bluetooth hands free device. The difference between the iTech clip style head set is that it has a detachable headphones and uses standard 3.5mm aux in/out type connector. I decided to plug it into my aux-in under the arm rest and therefor using it as a bluetooth receiver. Paired it up with my Windows Mobile phone, and tested out the hands free. Works awesome, sound quality is great and people can hear me without any problems. I placed the headset in the center as shown in the pictures when using as handsfree to talk. Otherwise, i just keep it inside the arm rest. I also tested streaming music from my phone to my car's stereo system and it works nicely ! Of course, this works with any car/stereo that has aux-in. So now we can all get bluetooth for our cars without expensive retrofits and best part is there is virtually no installation required. I also turned on the Garmin GPS on my phone and all the voice routing instructions now comes out of my car speakers !Here's a link to iTech bluetooth headset, which you can find all over Malaysia. http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_spec.asp?cid=1&pid=02050

Rubik,

Can I know how much you bought the iTech bluetooth headset? and where please..

Tq.

I'm in KL and i've seen it all over the place. Any shops that has handphones and bluetooth headsets normally carries them. Lowyat, digital mall, lots of shops have them. Just make sure the one you buy is the stereo one (normally comes with FM radio built in too) and with detachable ear pieces. There are other models that don't support stereo/detachable ear piece.

rubik, you work in electrical industry.. I recognize some of the special keys in the third pic.

btw, how much did the bluetooth cost.

Jarance,

Yeah those are eletrical cabinet keys. I didn't buy the BT headset, it's a friend of mine that i borrowed. I think it is $300-$400 i think if i'm not mistaken

can get at Low Yat .. I bought for RM120... few months back ... stereo n detachable headsets .. came with Stereo (2 earbuds) and single ear buds .. but no fm tuner la ..

interesting ..... but i suppose when there is an incoming call, then you have to switch your car stereo from e.g. CD to AUX to be able to receive the call?

My itech clip does not come with the 3.5mm jack.... mine's with the single earpiece affixed to it.

BTW, does anyone know how much would it cost to get bluetooth call function working .... My E90 320i steering wheel has the call buttons but it does not work and I was told I can get it connected for some charges?

Thanks.

Stephen ,

Yup, when there's a incoming call, you switch to Aux to receive the call
