Why the test ends at 180kph, flagged down by police (seems like illegal drag event) or run out fuel? What about 180-260?

whoever the drivers are, I do hope that you will consider the life and safety of other road users when you decide to race on a public road.

The plus highway is under renovation and very last minutes signboard "road work ahead" is seldom availabe. Dont risk your life on the highway.. It just too dangerous.

From the video the E60 is sure more comfortable at high speed and its an AUTO!

By the way, its very dangerous to test your car on the highway, Sepang is safer OK..

silk highway.. most of the time empty with excellent 3 lanes, good lighting, but some undulation and off-cambers.. good if u r familiar with the road.. some nice stretches where u can see like for miles!!

btw, the e36 once played with a stock golf gti and neck to neck all the way.. respectable.. :top:

silk highway - the one from SG long heading to Bkt mewah toll is an awsome stretch to play .. NO Police and also no speed trap...

basicly... a manual 328's power is awesome, the engine is a square block hence awesome accelaration and power, the 530i engine is a longer sroke with some lag at the top end..further to that 200+ kg's heavier than the 328i...

Yeah, weight and transmission loss are the key factors.

Also, the M52B28 engine has a healthy output of 280NM of torque, which is not far from the M54B30 300NM or so. For acceleration, torque matters not hp.

isit faster than 530i? it got more torque but aint sure acceleration up till 180

that 328i has top speed 240km/h while a stock 530i e60 (all engines) has top of 250

this kind of sprint (not even a race) is nothing risky in fact it is probably safer than the tracks because there are so few cars, notice in the video they only passed 1 car and there were no other bystanders, spectators, etc. god knows what they were smoking when they decided to build the highway few years ago but til today nobody is using it. and 180 is nothing, once this dude took me to 270 in his e46 m3 and another dude in his wrx sti ver 8 to 240 on the same highway...
