Pick-up PROBLEM.....

Hi, Im Kalis from Jaybee, Im using E60 525i M-Sport 2007(non-LCI), recently i feel uncomfortable on my beemer pick-up from 0-100km/h will be slow, then after 100km/h will be normal, y this problem appear? is that because of petrol, currently im on Primax 95.Sifu's pls advice?????

I m not sure about other potentials .. but for me RON 95 is a NO NO . why not try pump in RON 97 before you land ur hand on other matter. BTW , it will take few full tank before you can see the changes , at least twice.
its adviceable to pump in full tank of Vpower racing at least once in a month and whack the beast out of the car once in a while...u know these cars are adaptive type.. have you been driving slow before?

Other possibilities that i could tink of is spark plug and clogged fuel filter . best of luck .

Sell 525 buy 530. Problem solved. I'm using Ron 95 no issue.

I also think you should try RON 97 first.. I was not happy with RON 95 on my E60, so stuck with Shell 97. As mentioned, it'll take some time before the car re-adapts to RON97.

Been using RON95 since day 1 without any issue.. Have not even tried RON97 yet but pick up or acceleration is not a problem. I think it's other problem :4: if you need more power for your E60, I suggest you check your spark plug or fuel filter. Have you changed your ATF before. I just changed after 100000km and the car immediately feels lighter. Or else, they these options:
1) remap your ECU (covered extensively in E60/E61 threads)
2) change to K&N drop-in filter (noticeable improvement in pick up)
3) BMS PowerBox - plug & play chip to increase your hp plus torque by 10%. cheaper than remap if you know how and where to buy
4) quad exhaust setup - significant backpressure reduction and sound nice too :4:

Except for Option 1 & 3, I have done all the above :4: don't think will go for re-map but PowerBox is definitely something that I am seriously considering. My cousin's E60 523i fitted with this device is now comparable to my 525i. But from what I understand, only 523i will gain the most from PowerBox. E60 525i normally will gain 10% improvement from the stock hp & torque... but imagine 10% of 218hp for the 525i (N52 engine).. additional 22hp man!!! Drooling just to think of it...
but then, will see coz I am planning to go for IntraLASIK after CNY.. cost about 7k!! If the doc says that I'm not suitable to do this procedure, then I will invest in BMS PowerBox for sure.

for RM1800, I'd say that this is quite a deal.. after all, they want to make profit too right? My cousin did it at RM1300... but it involves a pretty long period of time. Had to order from oversea and then install it at Sunway... cost breakdown is about RM1000 (BMW PowerBox plus delivery) and RM300 (installation at Sunway plus dyno). But this was last year and I am not sure if they have upped the charges or not. Tell me if you wanna go my way or save the hassle by ordering it directly from your foreman.
You'd love the quad exhaust.. but mind you that it's not cheap coz the Remus exhaust that I installed 4 years ago cost me RM5.5k and I assume that the price has been increased due to the price of steel. Not to forget the diffuser for quad exhaust...

Powerbox only for N52 engines. Yours is a M54 engine. You can go for ESS Supercharger TS Stage I Bro!!!

I tried on 95 and 97, there is a different on the pick up... If got budget go for 97, if not, the cost you use 3 tanks of 95 can can get 1 tank free...else 95 can use for normal journey, not for performance journey...
