Hi, Im Kalis from Jaybee. I have just bought BMW 525i M-sport (E60) Japan Spec 2007.I have few things to clarified.. 1) How to convert to Malaysia Radio and how much the cost?2) Is this car can install reverse censor or reverse camera?3) How to off the radio?4) Where is recommended workshop to service my car in Jb Area?waiting for sifu's comments........

RM235K is a very good price. Is it the new LCI? If so, that's pretty good :)

hey guys. I just bought a 2007 UK spec E60 523i hi-line for 225k about 6 months ago. Low mileage 30k. Do you think I got a good deal. I also keep getting "Fuel Pump" warning. i asked the dealer and he kept assuring me that it's not a problem. I think he is lying. What does sifu think? Where can I get this checked. The dealer gave me a 6 month warranty. But what's the point of warranty when they are lying.
Do you think Auto Bavaria services AP cars? I need help here. First time buying an AP car.

First of all don't believe the mileage. Easily tampered with and its a standard practice to rewind the mileage so it appears to be low mileage to the buyer. A 4 years old UK BMW with 30k km (18,750miles) is unlikely from what I have seen while in UK.

oh...i bought it 285k exactly a yr ago....signhhhh price dropping 50k for a yr..

@cstan8888
I don't think it's the actual mileage. I mean it's rather simple and even if you randomly pick a few cars (year 2007), how many does 30K in 4 years? Especially BMW's, I don't think the owner would buy and park at home. Although there might be some but it's impossible that majority of the AP cars have such low mileage. The odomoter can also easily be tampered as people here have no ethics. If the warning comes up continously, why not send the car to a mechanic for a check? Normally dealers would give you 3-6 months warranty BUT it only covers certain parts like engine, gearbox, ECU, etc. Dealers are very cunning people and despite making a 60-70K profit per car, some of them just don't care after selling.

@haywire
+1. The unit I'm getting is like 100K but can be tampered to be 40K mileage :) Welcome to Malaysia!

@louiswaw
Dealers make a lot from all these AP cars. They control the price and I guess because the F10 is out, they are eventually dropping it to clear off the cars.

thanks. Any good workshops in Seremban area that I can send to fix this problem? First and last time I'm gonna buy AP car. Actually other than the fuel pump problem, the car runs fine.

@cstan8888
I think it's just about luck because even new cars might have problems. Another thing is the dealer, some of them are small time dealers and very dishonest. They want to sell the car with a huge margin and give us sh!t warranty and service in the end.

thanks aoch88. Sh!t is the right word. The dealer is actually quite big. His showroom has got almost 100 cars. That guy had the cheek to try to sell me 3 year warranty after I complained about the fuel pump problems. every now and then the car gives a slight kick while driving on the highway. I called AutoBavaria and may just have to fork out some money to get this fixed. No point dealing with dishonest @#*#. He might just swap another car's parts.Curse my luck. should have bought a new Volvo.

Greetings!! Welcome to the E60 club..
1) you can get it done with only RM1000... however, the only drawback is that you have to scan for the radio station everytime you start the car. Other than that.. everything else will be just fine
2) Of course you can... all you need are the Multimedia Interface which cost RM2000 (ICE specialist should have this) and then Reverse Camera (intergrated with license plate light) which can be easily bought from eBay (about RM200 or less depending on model)
3) this is really dump proof leh... just press the power button lo
4) This one I don't know.. I'm based in KL/PJ... :4:

good luck

Btw bro thule, my car doesn't have navigation but I want to change the monitor (i-drive screen) to the bigger version. Can that be done?
