Hi all,

anyway I went ahead and did it, was quite happy with the job. at least he mixed the colour to match a 3yo paint body...

Many Thanks

Cheahjn, all,

Can you describe a bit how to get to this place? Which part of Taman SEA?
(no need to PM la, just describe here for everybody's benefit...)
Thanks.

Hi guys...

Sorry for the late response. If you are driving from western digital on LDP, go straight past Giant on the right, a catholic church on your left, Kelana Jaya LRT station on the right, go up the ramp, after coming down you will pass by the Taman Mayang Specialist Centre on some shoplots on your left, turn left after shoplots (a yoga/fitness center named Less Studio is there too). Follow the road and turn right at the first traffic light. Turn right again into two rows of double storey shoplots, which is next to housing area. go straight (coz it's one way street) and look for Kim Keong Motor, just a few shops on the left after you made the right turn.

Went there this morning to find out how much it costs to spray the side door panel which was scratched recently and I was quoted RM300 which i think was reasonable considering the scratch starts from below the passenger door handle all the way to the back.

I was also told that a full paint job would be around RM1500. (i always thought it would be about RM2k+)

Cheers

guys can pm me KimKeong's number ?

is it at pj or sgbuloh ..as im at the sg buloh area.

thinking bout a quick respray for the e30 .

do they do minor rust welding also ?

thanks .

Since there are so many people asking, no need to PM. Here is Ah Keong's contact 012-2326012. His shop is in PJ SS23 but the factory is in Sg. Buloh. Ask him for details.

My trixie had bad scratch on the driver's door and was resprayed. Good job done.

So much thumbs up for Kim Keong motor, I can have a good night rest then. Just sent my e36 for same color re-spray this morning. Let's see if their work measures up to the compliments... in 10 days time!!

Cheers!

Just collected my other car (2 year-old car) from Toyota SC in Sec19, PJ for having a new door, a new rim and a new rear bumper. Paid RM5,099 for the 3 items, paint job and some body work.

Even though its just a new rear door, the paint job was the entire side including front and rear fender, and both doors to bring the color to a better match. Yet! I still notice a color differentiation on the new door (brighter color). My Toyota is Silver color.

So what color is your UDM Ms. Cheah? The problem with metallic paint is itself, is a mixture of lacquer and the metallic dust.. Firstly, aging lacquer will turn yellowish, secondly, different thickness of the metallic dust will result in different tone... sounds impossible to match le!! Unless the whole car is sand down to primer.. then u get identical layer of paint every where, so no color differentiation.

Good luck!
