last time I was quoted for the Shortblock 4 years back..??? RM14K.

Complete overhaul or just top overhaul? It depends on what are the things that you plan to replace. If complete overhaul, that would include main and con rod bearings, piston rings and to a certain extent, some do even replace the pistons as well, if there is excessive wear. Top overhaul only replace head gasket (a must), valve stems/guides (if burning oil), valve grinding and etc.
