Hello all,It's been sometime since my introduction way back in May 2012.At that time, I was on the hunt and thought I had found the BMW that I wanted. I was physically attracted to a very gorgeous looking black E46 318i Japan-spec M-Sport. I have always (in my mind) wanted to get a black or a white 3-series. Unfortunately, it was sold. Then I came across another one. To sum it up, let me share some lyrics which summed up how I felt. It's by Bruno Mars called "Our First Time".Girl, here we are In this big old empty room Starin' at each other Who's gonna make the first moveBeen doin' our thing for a minute And now both our hearts are in it The only place to go is all the wayIs that alright? Is that okay? Girl, no need to be nervous 'Cause I got you all night Don't you worry about a thing, no, no, noJust go with it, go with it, go with it And I will go real slow with it, slow with it It's our first time, go with it, go with it, go with it And I will go real slow with it, slow with it It's our first timeIn the end, I ended up with an '04 325i E46 (Local). The hours and hours I spent reading this forum made me go ahead with this purchase and to get over not getting the black M-Sport.I don't have a name for it yet - I was thinking of "The Zoolander" but think it's abit weird. Why "The Zoolander"? Here's a clue:

The paint on my car is actually Steel Blue. Steel Blue ....... Blue Steel ....... Geddit? :DAnyway, while I'm still deciding on a name (or if I want to give her a name), here are some pics.Exterior

I got her in late August 2012 and is still a Work In Progress and everything on and in the car (including some mods) were done by the previous owner. He really took care of his car. I wasn't too hot about the stock Steel Blue colour (but I'm slowly warming up to it). Given a choice, I think I would prefer a Steel Gray colour. Still, the colour is not a deal breaker. It's an option and one day I'm probably going to get it in a different colour. I'm also not liking the spoiler that much so that may go at some point. I'm thinking of getting a CSL-style spoiler, or maybe a 3-piece AC Schnitzer rear boot lid.Since getting her, I had an ignition coil failure so that's the only thing done to her so far besides the normal inspection, check and service plus replacement of all 6-spark plugs. Then after a week or so of daily driving, the CD-changer doesn't function anymore - which is fine as I had already planned to replace the unit (probably one with iPhone support, and install a rear-view camera as my dad has some contacts). Next up are also the tyres.Just got back from my first long distance trip on her (to Cherating) today. 620 km ++ round trip and 1/4 tank left once I got back to PJ.All in all, I've joined the "Dark Side" and I'm loving it! :D

Congrats bro on the lovely ride :top: That's a rare colour on an e46

Congrats on your ride bro! May she serve you well....

This car does look familiar. Think came across it on Mudah like recently.

Is it a CKD M-Sports? Noticed the gloss black Shadowline, M steering, fabric semi bucket M seats.

Love the folding mirrors. Congrats on your purchase!

Sweet looking ride, brah ...
All you need is some smoked front and rear lights and you've got that "street menace" appearence.

Curious question: what is that plugged into your cassette deck?

I'm looovin the color!

IMO, remove all the "M" motif.. then start from there ;)

Thanks brothers.

wingzee - You're right. She was advertised in mudah.

It's a local model - with M-parts like door sills, pedals, strut bar as well as badging all done up by previous owner.

I've been following your "3251" thread on and off as well, you've done yours up pretty well too :top:

Hi bro, it's not plugged in - it's a tin/aluminium plate that the previous owner stuck over the cassette opening.

Haha, thanks for the tip. Any particular item you're referring to? Are they really that bad? :p

I'll just leave them on for now - someone stole my Civic Ferio badge off my other car. They tried to pry off the Civic and Ferio badge, but broke the "V" off the Civic but managed to steal the Ferio badge.

I second that too. A bit too many "///M"s all over and almost looking a bit too "fanboy". Start with changing the hubcaps on the rims. The spinning blue-white roundel looks a lot better than a "spinning ///M"

Very nice colour indeed, looked at one during my search last nov but the owner asked for way too much and i walked away...
