Hi guys, need some help. Im getting a recond e92 that comes standard with darken rear screen and side windows, def wont pass puspakom. The dealer is recommending to change to clear glass for the puspakom test then replace back the original darken glass.I dont really want to install/remove the glass so many times...i want to look for ori BMW glass quotes and replace it once and for all...anyone got contact? Was in PJ state, so just enquired at Dr.cermin, and they quoted 2k for China glass, rear screen and the 2 side pieces...anyone else got better prices?thks all

Just my personal opinion and not sure it will works or not. Try to ask your dealer to get a strong puspakom runner to deal wit puspakom.

That's usually the case. Dealers will remove those darker ones for inspection.

Once done, they'll replace it back. Just don't get stuck on the next JPJ block!

P.s. Unless someone here don't mind trading yours for their normal non-tint glass

That definitely won't work :) I've tried it and runners are unable to do any hanky panky nowadays. Tint rules needs to be strictly followed so changing the glass is the only option.

now a days JPJ or any law enforcement office is very strict ....
but to risk it getting caught again if it gets replaced not worth it i think... personal opinion la...

then instead of driving it proudly, you will be driving with some fear of gettin caught

Bavarian Auto or Inner Power can give you a quote for original glass. From past experience I recommend you go with original BMW glass.
As said above, the runners are unable to get your darkened glass approved, we asked the dealer and they said the easiest way is to have the glass removed and reinstalled after approval.

yea, no hanky panky nowadays..

anyone wants to exchange with me? ori BMW dark glass...looks great, just wotn pass puspakom

I don't mind exchanging so I can save money from getting tints but unfortunately I have a different car, haha.

I never bought reconditioned car before. Shouldn't the dealer get everything "passed" with all papers in hand before they sell it?

I bought my used CKD, with all necessary approvals done before even I OK'ed to buy the car.

Ok. the panels are off the car now. nicely wrapped and ready for sale if anyone interested. I got new ori glass from Stuutgart in Taman Mayang for Rm1.5k...DAMN PAIN lor...b4 even collecting car, 3k spent on glass.

So just to be clear, i have for sale
1x Ori rear BMW windscreen for E92 (darken)
1x ori rear windows (left and right)

pretty Mafia looking if you install it on dark E92's

Hye Ryou,

I am bringing back a E92 with BMW sun protection glass at rear windscreen and windows, now awaiting custom clearance in Port Klang, then to Puspakom and JPJ

The rear windscreen and windows CONFIRM cannot pass Puspakom meh???What is the Visible Light Transmission (%)??

Is it possible to rent clear windscreen and windows for E92 from anywhere in KL for Puspakom purposes? How much they charge for the rent+service??

They definitely cannot pass Puspakom. Glass rental is around RM5-600 depending on car.
