there shall not be any updates for a while;

junior is still at Optimum, and boys there will only attend to it when they are free. that way i hope the paint will be ready for wet-sanding when i take delivery. no major work left on it except for the wiring - it would appear throughout its life no less than 3 alarm systems have been installed, and quite recklessly - splicing of wires everywhere. my mechanics are now tasked with removing all alarm related wiring and repairing all damaged power and earth cables of the car's original harnesses. tlc required, so it'll take time.

the red car is sitting at home most of the time. only goes out for teh tarik on weekends as well as the car wash when it accumulates enough dust for my kid to write his name across the bonnet. this will be its status for the next 2 months at least; that's the time my painter's physician told him not to pick up a spraygun unless he wants to undergo another 9 hour surgery. till then, car will be without a front spoiler..

Finally fitted my caps this morning. Was having problems with the final cap cos the rubber seals was a bit bloated. With some Selley's lubricant, a hammer, and some judicious usage of my barefeet, I finally managed to slot in the final cap. Hahaha.

Will write up a proper report in my thread later. :biggrin:

A bit out of topic, but just wondering, whether the driver of this E30 coupe is a member here? Saw the car on LDP this morning on my way to work, could hear the exhaust note... So raspy! :love:

Car had a M3 badge on the bootlid... Plate was WDF 6113 I think.

He slowed down when he saw my Alpina wannabe, and tailed me for a short while after Taman Megah before I signalled left to head to Damansara. Nice ride!

this wasn't intended to be installed before the car undergoes paint touchup and wet-sanding, but i cannot bear to see those masking tape covered holes on the trunklid any longer. besides, that spoiler has been sitting in my living room for too long.

still quite a clearance for the rear wheels from the arches albeit using H&R coils. mind sharing what rubber size you are using for the rear wheels en mizhan? or did i missed it someplace in these 213 pages?
