Oil Leaking!!!Smoky Engine!!!

Need some advise from the experts and sifus here,I just bought my car 6 months ago and just noticed that there's SMOKE come out from the grill(can see clearly on rainy nights)and the other prob that turn me to headache is the oil leaking(the quantity of oil flew out was depend on KM i drove the car)for example when yesterday i driving about 100km++ distance and my average speed about 120km-140km/hr and this morning the oil leaking are more than the day before that normally in 4km distance to my work everyday.(can refer to the pic)Also cannot find this leaking oil from gearbox OR engine's oil.....I need some advise here from our experts & sifus before i bring my car to w/shop soon,at least i dapat tahu apa PENYAKIT sebenar dan anggaran COST yang diperlukan disini bagi membaikinya.(there are so many sucking blood types of w/shop in my place)...otherwise my poket is koyak and Hari Raya dah dekat woiiii...:bawling:I also would like to know and appreciate from our forumers here if you guys have any recommended BMW Workshop in Terengganu and Kuantan area.Thank you.

The smoke is cause when the oil is spilled onto the exhaust pipe.

What type of oil did you used? Have you overfill the oil? Check the oil level. Could be a case of overfilling.

If the oil is not overfill, chances is that the oil seal is damaged or the top cover oil gasket could be damaged due to overheating.

Have you experience any overheating before?

In order to check where is the oil leak, u need to jack up the car, take out ur engine bottom cover (plastic with 6 screws). Use torchlight and check where is the oil coming from. Oil filter housing/Oil sum/hose/Gearbox many possibility. Smoke wise can refer to Jarance. You cant assume how much going to spend, cause u dunno where exactly it is leaking, until u found the spot.

First serviced i used Castrol Edge Sport 0w-40w (i think not suitable) and last serviced i used Petronas Synthium 5w-40w.

never been overheating before and the oil level is ok,could be oil seal or oil gasket.....if this are the prob,how much i will pay haa???

O to 40W is too thin in my opinion. 5 to 40W would be more suitable.

It is very hard to say where the oil is leaking from without actually seeing the car. As perry mentioned, better to send to a reputable workshop and jack the car for an inspection. Chances is that you might not be able to confirm the source due to many oil stain. it would be advisable to clean the bottom part of the engine to clear all the oil stain. After cleaning, then drive a few hours and check for new stain. if there is, the mechanic will advise you what need to be done.

You can try workshop at Indera Mahkota 14 Kuantan, try to call Osman ZMZ workshop 0199828000. I changed my fly wheel and g/box oil seals (g/box kena turun....so parts are cheap...upah tu yg mahal)
