No sound from front speaker

Hi all,One of my current E46 front speaker and 2 front tweeter no sound. The acc shop told me due to IC problem in the head unit (HU) and will take sometime if I intend to repair at the same time he introduced to me his product to replace my stock unit. Need your advise whether he told me the truth or try to convince me buying a new one?

Easy bro, ask them to prove u they are right, otherwise dont pay.

Bro test it by removing the head unit, the amplifier IC is a simple one and can be replaced at a low cost.
