Hi, am a newbie - had just introduce myself recently. As promised, I am attaching some pics of my E30.This car has given me more than 230000 km of pleasure (previous owner - 120000 km) and is still going strong. Hope to overhaul engine (consuming engine oil) and body (had some knocks before & rust issues in boot / spare tyre well) very soon now that I just acquired an E39.Have a few more pics to show. Need advice as how to post them without opening a new thread?

nice ride there, once u overhauled the engine..it would keep going on even stronger

Had some work on this E30 of mine. Engine overhaul, body works and paint, rims refurbished, front seats re-upholstered and windows and windscreens V-cooled. Not perfect but very happy with condition of ride now.

Hope the pics upload without any hitches.

If car can last, hope to pass it to son who is doing the washing!!

Nice car....missed my M40 tho...seen a small cracked on the dash, maybe you can put some silicone sealant onto the cracked,so that it won't get bigger, at least for some time...

Great car, i have one my self, and might be going through the same step you have went through.

Would be grat if can get some infor on the up keep that you have done on the car.

Cheers

Thanks all for encouraging words.

This car is far from perfect. Apart from the crack dash, there are many blemishes especially involving the vinyl, rubber and plastic parts like cracks and tears. I guess I can live with these for now. The alternative is to Mizhan-ized it which will involve too much time and effort, not to mention cost.

The body is reasonable though I could detect minor rust issues on the doors and engine bay. Engine -OK but the differential ('rear gear box') shakes occasionally but my mechanic could not source a replacement.

All in all, I did not do too much to upkeep this car apart from regular servicing and parts replacement when due. It has clocked 360000 km so far, out of which 240000 km was under me. From Penang it has been to KL, AS, JB, Melaka (numerous occasions, the mileage shows) and KB, Kuantan & Singapore (once each). As you can imagine it has given me tremendous satisfaction and proven reliable.

Cheers.

Great work. niche. It always puts an added smile on my face when I see an E30 restored back to its standard/stock condition.

I admire your attention to detail, you still have a full set of tools! Noticed that even your radio player is that of the standard/stock specs. Fuyooh.

Respect.
