Hi all, didn't see a newbie side within this subforum. Not really a newbie to this site, I used to chat over at the E36 side until I sold my 328 Cabrio, just got a brand new 318i saloon. Hope to be able to contribute here :)AIyah...will have to change my signature now also...

Welcome to the forums bro.

I thought they didn't sell the 318i here in Malaysia? Referring to the E90?

Tq Tq all sifus.....Oh not in Malaysia....I'm overseas. Bought a basic spec 318i 2011 model.2.0 engine, leather, no iDrive, 6 spd gearbox and 16 inch rims RFT just to replace the 328...time for it to go to a new owner. 5 yrs in my ownership and we only used it something like once a wk or once every 2 wks. The roof was getting fickle to maintain. Really smooth engine though I know I'll definately miss THAT!!!
Wondering if I should chip the car after the warranty....

Ahh, thanks for clarifying. Whereabouts are you based at the moment bro?

Brunei. OTR price about RM120k. Land of cheap low spec cars..if now is not the time to buy and drive such cars then forever in lifetime won't know when can enjoy such luxuries...definately not when I retire and try to buy one in Malaysia for RM200k+++. Then again forum brothers in Australia/Uk get so much better cars than us. For the similar price they can buy 320d with iDrive, full leather and 17 inch sport alloys???

There are some 318i E90 being sold in the country. I know of 1 dealer in Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, KL who sold them in early 2011.

120k can only buy us a civic or altis in Malaysian ringgit....
Huhhuhuh...

Enjoy while you can..
120k = 50K Sing cant EVEN get you the COE...

Brunei huh. Bro, try to keep in touch with Z///, he hails from Brunei as well.

He owns a Porsche 928 and SL500. :top:

Sorry no offense to brothers in Sg/Malaysia. My apologies. Actually after owning a E36 boat-like handling cabrio, and now have the 318, to be honest with you I'm thinking of buying a E30 manual 318 to restore from the ground up. Doing the calculations around B$10-14k gets a full body restoration + general engine overhaul and if the engine is sound, might even stretch to a supercharger kit. But no one is letting go their E30 now. Patience is a virtue....

Hey bro, nothing to feel ashamed.

In fact, it's guys like you who are passionate about restoring one of the all-time greats in the E30 that's making the world a better place. :top:

Thanks. It says a lot that I can get a running condition E36 320i or 318is for less than the price of a half decently restored E30.
