was in the land of the yankee doodles last week. so, decided to go to the autoshow to pass time waiting for my air chilled teh tarik.... wanna share some of my pictures... bmws??

So how was it this year? I went last year and wasn't terribly impressed, it was my first outing at NYIAS and I was so excited.

i think the event was great. pity i overslept and arrived after lunch, where i had only about 3 hours before running back to the hotel for late check out and leave for the airport.

general observation:
great show. supported by most of the exciting fast and glamourous brands as well as the big and mighty. the feeling is one of a trade show, not so much a colossal showroom, which explains for the great presenters of car features and background commentaries instead of the flowerpot displays by the fairer sex.

wot i loved about the show:
+ loads of cars on display, floors and floors!
+ cars were mostly unlocked and they were up close and personal
+ lotsa activities (driving simulation, scaletrics, freebies give-aways, demos, and interactions with the show-goers)
+ lotsa freebies giveaway

wot wud have been better:
- sale of branding merchandise
- free program (on sale for usd5)
- better signage to exhibits
- more rest areas for tired folks
- better location (was stuck in traffic 20 feet away for 20 minutes, taxi meter running away fast)

wot zoggee, ace and others wud have liked:

lol ahlian, if you were staying mid-town, you should've hoofed the 10 or so blocks...traffic during the NYIAS can be a real PITA.

Agreed on the program guide and floor layout/organization.
