Okie dokie, its been in my boot all this while slowly loosing its viscosity!

I dont know about you guys but Ive been following the World Pool Finals being played in Manila for the past week.

From 128 players they are now dont to the last 2.

Home town boy Ronnie "Calamba" Alcano from the Phillipines and the "Kaiser" 1996 World Champion Ralf Souquet.

Its gonna be a great match with US$100,000 up for grabs.....my money is on Alcano! Enjoy!

What a show of composure, cue ball control and variations of patterns on a pool table.

Ronnie "The Volcano" Alcano just blasted his way through to be crowned World 9 Ball Pool Chanpion 2006.

Poor Ralf Souquet never really had a chance from the start and was always trailing several racks behind in the 4 hour marathon.

Im sure the "mat-salleh" players now want the Championships to be hosted in the US of A or somewhere in Europe from now on. Since the Championships moved to Asia 3 years ago, its been an Asian affair with Alex Pagulayan winning in Taipei 2004, 16 year old Wu Chia Ching winning in Kaoshiung last year and now Alcano in Manila.

Its about time for Alcano to hit the big stage from now on being World Champ and he will make all Filipinos proud. Much feared in his homeland even by international Pinoy greats like Efren Reyes and Bustamante, Alcano can now show his stuff to the world!

Watching Ralf Souqet is only slight better than watching Cliff Thorburn, and that's because 9-ball pool only has 9 balls to clear unlike the 30+ pots in snooker! :p

Its a totally different game but dont be fooled that its an easier competitive game to snooker. Its NOT!

Snooker although played on a larger table with small pockets and balls is about break buliding. Pool on the other hand is an attacking game and almost all the snooker greats (with the exception of Davis and Tony Drago) didnt make it very far in pool. They have all tried it in the World Pool Championships and failed terribly, from Ronnie O'Sullivan to Jimmy White.

Am itching to kick some a@@ tonight. Anyone game? I'll be there, same place same time.

I saw the game on Saturday! Alcano missed the "9" Ball when the score is 15 (Alcano) & 9 (Soquet) (wat a bummer)

But at last, Alcano won it, real good game
