Bro he is a club vendor. He meant he is going to install the new iDrive touch on a f30 next week as a demonstration.

Hmmm I thought this iDrive Touch will only be available to more expensive models while lower end BMW models will soldier on with the basic iDrive or maybe I am wrong.

i had writing pad on my A6 hybrid. honestly, recognition is even more precise than my iPhone. but its true using left hand to write is not that easy for right handed.

Hi all,

Picked-up my car yesterday. Just to share, some pics of my car which comes with the new iDrive Touch.

The iDrive Touch is pretty useful and its more convenient than the non-touch iDrive imho. Left to right swipe adds a space and right to left swipe works as backspace (delete). Found voice command quite accurate as well. Lots to play with on the iDrive. Still wrapping my head around it.

Other than some rattling sounds coming from the front passenger side, so far so good. Don't know if the rattling is just the nature of the engine. Coming from a 6 cylinder its quite jarring. Will need some getting used to.

I did ask abt iDrive touch b4 I took delivery of my car SA says not in F30 328i msport only in 4 & 5 series 1 week later you posted that your 328i msport fitted with iDrive touch....mcm something wrong je. Did you get extended BSRI to 5 years ??
Felt cheated je....may be they want to clear old stock.
How come they can say they no nothing about it.
Then SA says I bought pre reg car with gud discount but I m sure Lewint you also got a gud discount. Wearners yesterday advertise RM36k discount on 328i msport better deal than what I got......:smokin:

Was informed by my SA from Ingress that the extended BSRI from 3 to 5 years is only valid for cars registered from 27 November as part of BMW's X'mas promo. Applies to all models with BSRI package. In the case of the 1 series which is without BSRI, buyers will get 3 years.

Bro just want to clarrify, the 328i comes with a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine.

What I know about this itouch issues from a few dealers I went to.
1. Additional RM3k for itouch
2. Dealers who issue PO to BMW Malaysia for the 3s in Dec will only have 50/50 chance the car will be fitted with itouch. Dealers cannot confirm if the car you bought comes with new or old idrive until it arrives. (Note: Not all dealers are aware. I think we as buyer are better informed than them)
3. For Bro Lewin case, I guess his dealer got 'connection' with BMW Malaysia, so he is enjoying his new idrive now
4. Those 3s that comes with new itouch are called 328i M-Sport Advance. Main differences are itouch and ///M badge at the front fenders.
5. If you want the 328i Advance model, go to few dealers and asked if they can arrange for you. But what I know is that only limited colors available.
6. 5 years BSRI. Dunno when will offer end or they have implemented it for all cars reg after 27th Nov.

I got my EB without the itouch a day after Bro Lewin, but personally I find it's ok.

If you have no specific choice of color, 36k discount is damn good!
