Hi guys, I am a newbie and need help as I read somewhere in this forum that I dont need to add an FM booster for my Jap Spec E 46. I tried and I cant find that posting which states that all I have to do is to change the program via the buttons.Any suggestions?Thanks.Cheers.

E 46 Radio

Hi Jay,
I tried what was on the instruction and it didnt work. From the pic I notice that I have a different head unit. Mine is with a cassette slot instead of CD slot.
On my set it just didnt have the option to change the setting.
Thanks anyway. Guess I have to live with a FM booster.

No. No. Dont ever give up, Big Al. You gotta try it one more time. At first, i'm also confuse and yes, it didn't working. Mine also different. Mine is MD(mini disc) slot instead of CD slot.

The key is on step no.2

"Within 10 seconds press and hold down the 'm' button (no. 9) until the serial number appears in the display (no. 13);"

ps~ you gotta press and hold down the 'm' button a bit longer, like 20-25 seconds. And after that, the serial number will appear on the display.

You gotta try it, bro. It will save you a lot. Trust me. A lot of the members here have try it and they suceed. Try it back, bro! :top:

Big Al,

I passed the same instructions to SpyGames some time ago to extend his frequency for his E46 Jap Spec business cassette player and it worked. Try the steps again, it should work.

Haiiyyyoo!!

I've had the same prob also but mine was replaced with japan panasonic cd/mp3/dvd CQ DVR592U player. So how??

Heys,
I have tried many times while was stuck in a traffic jam but my head unit do not have that program build in.
Wondering out aloud again anybody knows how to set the time? Ever since I change my battery from leaving the car unstarted for a couple of months, the time is wrong.
Any suggestions? My service is not due yet and didnt want the mechanic to do it as he might charge me some $$$
Cheers.
