Need e30 halfcut info

HI all,The reason i post this coz i can't any info i want in this forum. I would like to have new engine for my e30, a auto engine preferable. Currently i'm having an m20b20 engine and this engine is very crappy and gives me a lot of trouble. So decided to changed the whole thing. I choose auto coz it is more Family compatible for my opinion. To be frank i am not financially ready to fork out a few thousand buck for a new engine but i loved my car. Currently the car is not moving at all. The battery is out and i dunnow what going to happen to her later on.So go back to the topic, i would like to have some feel on how my pocket will burn if i make a transplant to my car. So i really need some help and feedback from forummers who already had experience in doing that. I would like to know the overall cost plus installation. I'm talking about converting my manual m20b20 to M20b23 or m20b25 auto here. Thanks in advance.

if money the limitation, then why you choose M20b23 or m20b25, why not go for M40. I think it cheap. And not only that, your maintenance cost also will be reduced.

So suggestion say go to m40 is cheaper, how about an auto m40 is it ok, the last time i ask about auto engine guys at this forum don't suggest an auto with lower cc engines. Any comments?

If you opt for M40, you have to get manual....mine is M40 manual pun dah tak larat..kena pulak auto....lagi laa.. tapi maintenance ok la..

you be a lucky guy.. there's a guy just converted a auto into a manual.. full engine, with longshaft, axle, pedals, ecu, wiring.. etc...

the workshop guy ask for RM1500.00 for the whole lot with the grant sale of the engine..

this is good ubat for you now, take 3 days of thinking and decide for yourself..

the offer sounds great, how about the installation. If the price is right i will go for it. So this engine is totally complete no extra part needed? By the way is this guy convert to manual because he wants to or because the auto troubles him i meant got problem?.

auto box is fine, just that the previous owner sold the car with the auto..

installation is relatively priced at RM1k to 1.5k.. but shop around..

Sounds good to me, but where is the engine right now if it is in a workshop, which workshop? isn't it better if i do the conversion at that workshop if i decided to buy the engine? Since i do not have the facilities to move around the engine if happen i am going to make the conversion at my preferred workshop. What do you think? SO where is this workshop?

I thought my problem has end, unfortunately is not. The guy who wanted to convert from auto to manual has not done the conversion until now. Seems like he does not have interest in doing it anymore.

So here i am back looking for a cheap or reasonable E30 engine with auto gearbox...
