i'm afraid i've gone back on my word about going for a 16" rim... haha.
went rim shopping and immediately fell in love with this o.z racing (7x17) rim! (the picture shows 5 lugs but mine is with 4). managed to get hold of a set of "almost" brand new toyo tyres as well (205/45).

now i need all the e30 sifus help... how do i best ensure that i get at at least a good ride from this set-up? teejay has mentioned about the "tuned system" etc. is it absolutely necessary?

thanx a lot...

tuned system is not neccesary, but if it compromises safety and handling issues, then it becomes a neccesity.

tuned=balanced, meaning the suspension plays the most important part now with the extra weight and radius of the new rims
can't help you with the setup because if you are using the normal/standard e30 suspension, it may not be as what you are thinking of, maybe just maybe if you use the bilstein and eibach combo, or koni absorbers and any aftermarket springs, but you will have to adjust the suspension a few times before getting the correct settings....hint - settings for the fronts will not be the same for the rears.

if you wanna take it further, there's the 5 lugs e36 Ti/ Z3 suspension to play with.....not that will open up a very wide range of tuning possibilities......rims,rims,rims....brakes,big brakes, bigger brakes and cool brakes:cool:

offset is at 38 and weighs in at 7.2kg...

... unfortunately won't be able to make it today for the TT.
