hi bros,Im considering to buy a sport touring bike. And one on my whishlist is k1200s year 05-06. Any advice on maintenance, parts and performance for this model..as I noticed the final drive is not using chain or belting, what system this bike use..Thanks in advance.

In essence yes ... but double check with the reviews la. Use Google to search and see or go to the US BMW bike forum to get a real picture about this bike.
 
I do some research at the google, but here in Malaysia I do need some advise from abam2 bikers kental since this bike quite few in number compare to japanese machine...hope I will make the right decision..:)

I wish I could ride a BMW touring bike ... The are lovely. Itu HP4 lagi bes!
 
The k1200s is a very decent bike for touring and occasional Rempit sessions. It's an excellent all rounder.

There isn't much issue with the bike but if you could, get a K1300s instead. The engine and transmission are re-worked by Ricardo Engineering, fueling issues are gone and the performance is just astounding!

There is a regular K1200/1300 group that is quite active in the Motorrad club :)
