My E90 325i running on run flats had a screw in the driver side rear tire. The tire indicator came on the dash (No iDrive) indicating that there is a puncture. I took it to the tire shop as soon as i could, not over running the stipulated km/h and km's. The tire guy said that the run flats had to be patched from the inside. Done and dusted, the tire indicator on the dash, inspite re-setting does not go away, the tire pressures seem to be normal :stupid: . HELP?! Thanks mates.

I had mine patch once when I was running on RFT previously and the patching was done from outside. After the patching, everything is fine.

Are you sure yours is done from inside ?

yes david, when we patched it from the outside (basically stuffing of rubber into the puncture) was unsuccessful as i was dropping 5 psi/day. So when i took it to a proper tire specialist, he said when he patched the last RFT on a beemer it could only be done on the inside. Any idea on why the tire indicator being still on inspite the 'proper' patch up? Looks like a visit to auto Bavaria is necessary....

i'm not too familiar with the terms. but if tpm means the on board computer where i have to reset the tire pressures, i've done that. this is why i'm puzzled.
