Yeah thats why I wash my car every 2 to 3 days for exercise.

My E90 325


There's been light warning fault for quite sometimes with puzzle me since all light in working condition.
So went for diagnostic that shows rear brake light fault.

But was surprise to see all brake light is working well but after real close look found that right lamp brake light on different side. Learn new thing which E90 & E60 rear brake light will on the spare bulb if one of it blows. Amazing function coz each side got 2 bulb at each side but only 1 will on at one time. So change 1 bulb that faulty at 1 side.

Bought a can of grease spray for preventive maintenance to prevent sound, rust & long last parts

Spray all the rear bushes, bolt joint, arms and nuts

Even the E39 tail lights does this. Since E39 tail light has the CELIS LEDs....should it blow out due to mismatch of voltage or overcurent, the brake light (at the side where the CELIS is blown) will switch on dimly and it will throw a code.

Since the CELIS is the only driving light that is turned on at night, if it blows it will be completely dark on that side of the car. Hence the reason why the brake light on that side will turn on dimly to notify rear cars at night.

However, when the brakes are pressed, this brake light will light up at the normal brightness (just like on the other working tail light).

BMW Engineers have well thought out contingency plans. Kudos. :top:

That is true for the led light but this for brake light man. E90 light is LED as well.
I wouldn't expect if not bcoz of diagnostic and you wouldn't notice it was brake light unless really stare it.
At last my E90 is without any fault warning.
