Guys,I drove my car and parked it at Kg Pandan apartment while visiting my friend right on the ground floor...When I got out I realized the car has been scratched all around, some part deep and some part mild. Dunno why these burgars are so unthoughtful.....heart broken now...Anyway my question:1) should I just repaint the whole body or just the scratched portion??? 2) by repainting the scratched portion alon, will the color match back with the original???3) is there anyway to remove (if at all possible) or reduce the scar by a good polish??I washed the car after the event and some portion of the scar was not so obvious anymore yet it really scarred the car....Please advise.

Sheesh, my heart goes out to you. I think by polishing the lightly scratched part it will be some improvement. But no help can be done if the area is deeply scratched. Evaluate the scratches... paint those portion that are seriously noticeable. Bear in mind that if there is a first time, there will be more to come...

well, i think first time will heartache lah....reprayed my car 1 year ago and now scratches and crack due to unconsidererate burgars who open door without considering car at the side...well, about 2k can do a good outside spray and the car will look new again......

well, i will consider kl will be having a higher chances then JB......

dun understand what all this losers thinking!! really hate that! it happened to my new cars before. i think maybe we shd not drive to those places which we cannot see our car.

any good alarms can prevent this happen again? guys wanna share?

I feel you bro..... the milder scratches might be able to gloss over using good wax and polish but the deeper ones must have touched the metal already. Normally the painter will spray most of the door panel(if there are some scratches there) and they wont just spray only at where the scratches are. Whatever it is.....get ready your wallet....:(

you've parked at someone's spot issit ? well sometimes it's better to ask the security first before parking at places such as apartments nor condo .. you never mean to park on someone's spot .. but unfortunately this may be the case.

well happen to my parking spot where someone convinienly parked their car there and was untraceable for a day ..what i did ..parked my second car right at their tail .. and oucchhhh me too never moved my car for 2 days ...

the owner of the car appolized but then according to him he never knew and left to GENTING. It was raining at the time he parked and he did not wanted to get wet parking at the designated visitors OPEN car park ...

So it's always better to ask the security for the visitor car park ..if there is one ..

but if there is none .. then i'm sorry for what happen to you .. hope you can erase the scratches by polishing first....

Bros,

Sorry for the late reply as I was away whole last week attending a funeral.

The parking was right in front of my friend;s unit which is on ground floor itself. My friend told me he has parked it there before and nothing happened.

It is just this itchy idiots who are inconsiderate and do it as part time work.

I can;t polish the car as certain part is too deep. so am going to drive around for another 2-3 months before doing full paint job.

If happen to see a E39 silver with long scratches on both sides of the body, come and say hi...hahahaha.
