Missing Pixels on Audio unit in 1 series

Anyone has any idea what's wrong with this audio unit in my 1 series... the display looks 90% ok in the mornings, but as soon as I drive out of the porch, the pixels started going missing and sometimes only left a few characters on the display making it impossible to read anything from it..Brought to AB and was told to try repgrogramming.. which I dun believe its the issue as I can see it almost perfect each morning... anyone know how much does a new unit costs?btw... its a 2006 118i. Help?

Mine also same problem.

10-20% of the pixels is gone when the temperature is hot in the afternoon. Otherwise it's ok. I thought the Trixie got heat stroke

display units must've came from penang or nilai
