Salam semua membersMessage diatas keluar semasa memandu 180 km, tak syok kena drive perlahan.

Bro...if radiator not leaking ....dont change the radiator....sometimes water comes out from loose o-ring and water pump and so on...as long as the workshop can find the culprit should be no issue but if the radiator itself leaking....then better tukar....refurbish can also but it wont last long la...

workshop at segambut quote me Rm1450 for electric water pump and Rm250 for thermostat. try to google AB CONTACT no.

the cheap water pump must be for the M54 engine. Water pump for N52 magnesium engine is lot more expansive

Hi bro, i got this message before. Its the electric water pump. Overheating only occur during high speed because the failing pump cant spin fast enough to keep coolant flowing fast. On town driving, it wont happen

Hasru, have you change it already? How much it cost you?

With all due respect bro chefim, can you pls proceed to the Newbie Section and do a self intro as per the Forum Rules and Regulation before further posting is done? Tq.

just nak update issue dan share dgn members. workshop hamka dan confirm water pump tak elok. electtic water bersekali dgn thermistat siap dipasang dan dalam perjalanan balik dlm 12 km keluar lagi message engine too hot tapi kali ini dalam speed bawah 100 kmh. tunggu enjin sejuk dan bawa semula ke workshop. setelah dia diagnose tru pon among his member dan dia suruh saya beli radiator. order dgn bavarian dan sampai keesokan hari. belum lagi radiator dipasang dia kat water yg say beli tu rosak.
saya sudah hilang trust pada hamka dan minta dipasang balik water pump asal utk saya bawa keter ke workshop lain. mungkin silap say nak jimat kos dan akhirnya kos berganda. just sharing dgn semua members.

selalu jadi macam ni. kadang2 mech main teka2 je masalah kereta, bila salah, customer yang kena tanggung rugi. sepatutnya mech kena test dulu mana2 masalah dengan solution yg ada.

sorry...wrong info. Bavarian price for original electric water pump is RM1410.00. Unlucky for me after the installation and diagnose again it appear FAULT sc 0001 -0004. So call Bavarian Segambut (Ah Seng) for claim but denied by reason "The part are sold is tiptop pls get BMW others expert to check.....hu10x.

Yes Lamer2000, happened to me last few weeks. Stranded at LPT for 30 minutes to let it cool-down and then immediately return back home. The next day everything back to normal as you said during town-driving everything seems back to normal. Surprisingly, my gearbox showing some sign of problem where the gear position kept on shifted by itself:102:. It will automatically shifted to higher gear position even though I was on Sport Mode!. For safety reason, the computer didn't allowed me to ramp-up the engine more than 3000 RPM. Sent for gearbox diagnose and there was no error detected.:39:

After replacing the electric water pump, i tested the car and fortunately everything back to normal. :driver: So I was then realized that the main culprit was the water pump. Total replacement cost for the Electric water pump+Thermostat+Labour= RM1840 :13:. That was the cost I paid to smile again... Hahahaha...

Moral of the story: Love your Bimmer.. Even sometimes it makes you broken-hearted! :12:.. hahaha

i was told by mechanics to change water pump. actually in my issue that was not cause by water pump but the radiator. E60 radiator comes with extra hose. they told me it was bypass hose from radiatir direct to engine.
