As Baldrick from Blackadder says: "I have a cunning plan"...

If Ferrari was to email "secret" stuff to the other teams, then they will be able to cry foul & win the championship coz everyone else will be banned...:39:

i dont get it.....

Why is alonso being implicated ? He received information about Ferrari, but he's not part of the engineering crew. Hes only a driver......

The information received need not necessary means engineering/design information.

In any form of racing, vehicle set-up is extremely important, a difference of 1 or 2 psi in tire pressure will determine the way the car behaves.

In this case, Alonso and De La Rosa were actively getting information from Nigel Stepney via Mike Coughlan. Car weight balance set-up, special gas for tire and etc. Alonso, should have informed Ron Dennis about this...but he went on and on.

And FIA has said in its verdict, irrespective of whether the information was used or not, McLaren is deemed to have contradicted Article 151. :(

Now, can the action of these 3 individuals be used to implicate the entire team/company? What do you think??

Wei so free ah ...letters to respective people send already ah??

If information is in the hands of McVClaren's people, irregardless who they are; then it is deemed as in the hands of McClaren, since these people represent McClaren.

Same argument goes for our Budget 2008. The PM introduced a RM48.14 billion development budget. The Finance Ministry produced a RM40 billion for the same budget. Both figures were signed by the PM. Who should take the blame - the PM who signed it, the finance Ministry, the people who made the pens which the PM used to sign the documents, the paper on which the documents were printed on?
Everyone shouch accept responsibility for this blunder. Not the PM alone, even though he signed it. He is relying on his good team. So, he signed both documents in utmost goodfaith that they were correct. In McClaren's case, the whole team must accept responsibility for whatever action that befalls on the team - that is a good team, irregardless of mistakes. As everyone can learn from mistakes.

I thought we were talking cars :) My 910 cents worth :

On the political note, The PM Is responsible for signing documents which entail billions of dollars of tax payers money. The buck ends with him. No-one else can be deemed responsible for his oversight (good faith and politics dont correspond in Malaysia)

Same goes for DPM who authorized, signed and payed for Naval ships - 2 off which have been built with over 8000 flaws, and the other 2 are only at 50% completion (they were all scheduled for delivery to the Navy this year). Price of projects went up by over 1.25b, just to save the failed attempt. Neither the ship builder (who by the way, never built a ship bigger than a patrol boat, yet was given the 6b dollar contract) nor the Naval officers, nor the PM are responsible. The buck ends with the top dog, ie. Minister of Defence.

I guess the moral of this story is, if you sit in the number one position in any team, organisation or even country, you are responsible for what goes on under you. Blaming the next guy doesnt help.

Thooooooooiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

I slept throughout the Belgium GP, so boring lah! The off track antics more exciting! Looking forward to next year with Renault and BMW already boasting their new cars are vast improvements and should be good nuff to chalen the cheating horse-crap!

Renault? Where are they? The thing that gets me is Alonso. He is not fit to be a worldchamp and does not carry himself well enough to be one, too. He feels he is too good. Everyone else is the problem, except him. I don't see how/why Renault will want him back. Remember his antics and complaints while he was there last year. Michael Shumacher always praised his team and always gave them the credit. he never complained about them. This is a world champ. Mika was also a class champ, too. They had dignity! Not this lump of shit Aloso, who is trying to blackmail Ron Dennis. This guy is not worth his salt. have you heard Hamilton or the Ferrari drivers complain about their team?

Alonso should be put out to pasture!

Innovator, you are perfectly right about Alonso. . ..

Now, rumours about him not sharing set-ups with Hamilton look real, if the emails with De La Rosa are taken into account.

I really cant see how Ron Dennis will retain his services for next year. Nico Rosberg would be a nice fit into Mclaren.:top:

Latest news is Ron Dennis is not on speaking terms with Alonso. Its going to be interesting to see how this lump of chicken shit is going to try win the last 3 races without the team principal's backing.

I hope Hamilton would clinch the drivers title... Alonso don't deserve it at all... I'm no fan of both these drivers but if what the press claimed of Alonso is true then it seems that Hamilton deserves it in the end...

message to Ron: please please please ditch Alonso cum next season... definitely the most selfish driver in F1 history...
