Malaysian 2014 F10 is not CKD?

Hi,

I ran VIN Encoder found at http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html with my F10 VIN and found out at the car was assembled at Dingolfing for Malaysian market.

Does this mean that our Malaysian F10 is not CKD in Malaysia?If so, this is very good news!

I did a check on mine as well after reading your post. If you look right at the bottom, it has this :

I think the words "assemble in" actually means that the CKD packs comes from Dingolfing. I could be wrong. Maybe other members have a better idea.

Similar when I checked my 2012 F10. "Dingolfing" for Malaysia Market

We just went to the assembly plant in Kulim and few of us could confirm that they are assembling the F30, F10, F15 along with some other models there.

Definitely SKD (semi knock down).

Assembled, yes here in Bolehland but manufactured is another matter...hehe
