maintainance cost

hi every1i am new herei just fall in love with e30i am wondering wat is the mainteinance cost of it?i mean for normal wear and teari read the post inside here,can get a e30 less than 10k?can i prepare 10k to buy a e30 and another 10k to rebuild it?reliability wise?i was told that the e36 parts get spoiled easily and parts not durable?especially for its gearbox.how about e30?

and my budget not very high.becoz 20k++ can buy e36 or e34 liao

Hi, I just bot an E30. Actually, for starters, e30 is good enuf. But make sure you don't get cracked up ones. A lot need rebuliding, so good running condition ones will cost up to 20k, maybe more, depending on how you see it. Mine is quite original, as I want it all original condition, no modification needed. But still, there are lots of things to be done, a lot of little things which needs time.

Btw, if this is your daily usage car, I think you will want a good running condition one. Otherwise, you will feel frustrated, as you will always need to work on it. But it is fun to do up the car, and I hope to restore it to its mint condition. It will be a long term project, but worth it.

how much u spend bro?
actually i understand the feeling of using a used car with more than ten years old
becoz last year i just bought a kancil 1995 with high price at 8500 then spend around two thousand to change things

i think i buy e30 mostly for its BMW DNA and not going to mod its engine unless i m truely loaded
mostly will done up the running parts and follow by outlook
how is urs?

got my ride in feb 08, rm15k in good running condition.
for starters jus give another 5k to put it into very good condition.[keeping it stock standard]
but it depends a lot on how well or wat condition it is in when u first bought it.
spend enuf time to hunt for it, then u wont regret.
its a fun, steady ride, confident at corners and smooth on long rides
the repairs u do initially will be headache im sure, but its a bitter sweet experience.

i have the worry becoz my frens said bmw parts is not durable.so i am worry that i might end up repairing the car always.but the car model i frens talked about is e36

Dude, support your post since I also need more information as you do.Pls allow me tumpang here ^^however my budget for an E30 is 15k at most (year 1990/1991 best). then prepare abt 300-400 bucks for rebuilding each month since don have so much cash in hand, wondering will it be more than enough?
