HI all,anyone here has ever done a typical/normal top overhaul? would like to get some figures on the costing..heard that to change valve seals on a m54, you dont need to remove the head altogether. is that true?

Yes it's true provided they have the special tool.

really.....have you witnessed this procedure?i don't see how this is possible.if yes,cud you point us to the sifu who has the special tools and ability?me engine burning oil and i suspect the valve seals.....

You can give Albert (WP auto) 0122017792 have seen him replacing the valve seals without removing the cylinder head.
