M20 & M40 Headlamps bracket compatibility

Dear Sifu's,Can you please tell me if the plastic headlamps bracket from M40 can be used on the E30 manufactured in 1984? I believe it is called the M20? I need to replace the headlamps as they are old and those I see in chop-shops are sealed beams type but with same metal bracket shape.There was a better set offered by a chop shop in puchong but they say it's for the M40 model and can be used. I don't see how since the bracket is different. Price expensive also I feel. They wanted RM300 for Left and Right side inclusive of 4 lights with what I think is called "smileys". How much is a reasonable price?Sorry lar..... still new to this bmw scene so not so sure... more blur than anything.Thanks

If RM300 for all the 4 lights and the brackets, it's cheap..
If you don't buy, you may never see a complete set next time...

make sure that all the brackets are there...coz they are not cheap to buy...

rm300 is a good buy if all the brackets are there

i went back to the scrap shop again. this time they say lamp don;t have "smiley". they say smiley only for 5 series. anyhow, i bought it. dont know where to find parts and was raining so concluded the purchase. sigh.....
