Hi does anyone have a page link that has some details on a m20/b20 jetronic auto to m20/b25 motronic auto conversion ... thanks

AFAIK, the block is different. might as well swap in the whole Motronic engine.

Daniel,

Basically, I'm want to see what parts are involved for the engine swap. I heard that there are quite a few things although its less troublesome than other engine swaps.

If you got got a website link or a past thread of someone's conversion it would help. Thanks.

the wire harness would be different, the ECU would be different. It's basically changing the whole engine, don't u think?

dun start a fire you cannot control.......

also such questions will attract fire from certain quarters.....

:)

best option for you in terms of hassle, price and results, go get a e30 325i half cut and transplant it everything to your car.

If you were to do bits here and there, you will end up a rojak car. Unless, you are a detail and DIY person who can look go play with mods.

with the half cut,u have no headache.

haha just wanted a list of different parts being involved regardless of half-cut or pieces

... for knowledge :D ...

jules,

he wants to know what parts to be changed when he transplant.

Ludavic,

This experience don't come from computer(s) or weblinks or pictures from internet. Best if you can visit some mechs, friends who can show you about the conversion.

1st of all, you need to understand basics engineering of a car or m20 itself. If basic tak ada, whatever we post u may not understand also.

2nd, picture tell a thousand words. So, go see the car/engine for yourself.

Knowledge = time = money spend.

Lud,

You need to change everything......as Fabian has pointed out, there are very items that the jetronic and motronic engines share.

Get a half cut and there will be no guessing games and endless visits to the parts shop. The biggest difference between the two would be the wiring harness of the two engines.

Motronic to Jetronic is easy......

Jetronic to Motronic..........get the cheque book ready.

In Conclusion: THERE ARE NO SHORT CUTS

I know that 'they' said it can be done, show me, I like to learn new things
