Loss of pixels in OBC display

Anyone got this problem - unable to read the display on the OBC due to pixel loss. But, the back light is ok.Can it be fixed? Or change the entire OBC?

just leave it alone..no point fixin it...even if u change to 2nd hand ones..there's no guarantee it will last...the pixels i mean..

I found out it can be quite a challenge if you plan to fix it yourself.

I cleaned the contact plate with alcohol and all my pixels were restored. before that had some missing pixels.

I read the DIY somewhere on bimmerforums.com but can't find it now. :huh:

no doubt about it. i don't think it's possible to get a brand new set. 2nd hand surely not a problem, RM3k - 4k?

i've seen an ad posting in motortrader sometime ago. some dude claims that he can fix the pixel problem. anyone tried it before?
