Hi all,Hope everyone are fine.. Anyways, the other day my tayar kena pakulah.. then i quickly sent to the nearest kedai tayar to get it tampal.. I gave my lock nut for the guy to open my wheels la.. Since I was rather late for work, I quickly paid the guy and cabut to work.. then that night I realised that I totally had forgotten about that lock nut.. Then the next morning I went back to the shop, and that guy told me they had lost it also.. But then he said that I need to go to Autobavaria because apparently they have all the sizes for the lock nuts, the guy said he will reimbursed it back. Since I don't have that much spare time to go and have this checked, I was just wandering if you guys know the size/numbers for the lock nut? I was told that the size if these lock nuts follows the type of car. FYI, mine is a 530. Thanks. :top:

lock nuts have different shapes.. and there are several shapes... u gotta go to AB and they'll try to see which lock corresponds to yours.. else like i did ,go to my usual tyre shop and luckily he got several that he could try and opened it.. then I went to Bavaria Autoparts and bought a new set for RM110.00

My worst nightmare happened last Saturday.

I was cruisin' along Duke highway, when suddenly the "Tyre Punctured" message appeared. As I've mentioned before, I've lost my lock nut and didn't get the chance to send it to AB. Not only that I couldn't change my tyres, there are no tyre shops open until the end of Chinese New Years!

So I had to tow my car to my friend's workshop since we couldn't open the rims, let alone change the tyres. So tomorrow I have to find a way to open the rims! Here's some of the pics of the beast stranded beside the highway.

e46 supposed to be no.8 if u r a face lifted 325, not sure about the rest... Quickly go AB to buy. I was told not want to tow my car like that too, it's best to put it on a flat bed tow car, shudn't cost u too much in town.

The thing is I don't have any other choices.. All the carriage tow truck don't want to take that job coz they were all getting ready for their CNY dinner already.. Like I said, it was on a Saturday evening.. So all I got was this Malay dude.. Luckily the workshop is just a 5 mins away from there..

 never tow a bemeer ... always used an overloader ....:top: I think its high time those not members of any auto service company to start thinking of joining one.
:listen: you will save a bundle on towing charges the very least. Cannot mention which industry coz of copyright issue :listen::top:

Easier said than done. Try getting it at the eve of Chinese New Year's when every tow truck fella is at home preparing for dinner ;)

I lost mine last time and went to AB, there are 40 different locking nuts and you have to match it to yours to know which number you're using. I don't think it depends on what model your car is but I could be wrong. One thing for sure I paid RM22 for it (E46 N42)

dear frens, lets me share with u all my experience.. this monday 5pm, i was driving my e60 525 m-sport on Duke Highway, from setapak heading to klang. after solaris toll, around 5 km, sumthing bad happened!! there is a msg pop up on my beemer's screen. TYRE LOST PRESSURE!!! my gosh! i checked, kena nail again..damn bad luck cos this is the fifth time since register my car on OCT 2008. wana change spare tyre but cannot becos my locknut gone for sum reason (stupid mechanic).so, i called KURNIA, luckily they offer free service for towing within 30km. tow back to damansara. the next day i go to buy new locknut. rm40 (Munich shop, same row with bavarian segambut), luckily not expensive. aiii, change spare tyre n go tyre shop.. alamak, another rm1k gone..cis! change a brand new Michellin PS2. wonder, why i always kena nail 1??sienzzz

What happened to your car? Yes ..thts one flaw they will need to sort out though ....there is a way to minimize cost ...usually you will have your car "courier" to the nearest toll where they have their own flatbed to meet and pick your car. Its a bit of a hassle but you save a bit. :)

As i was informed that our e60 can not be towed with 2 wheels running...it can damaged out arm bush...etc
