Hi guys,I am new here , need some input from some of the sifu here, I have a y2000 E46 320. I hear knocking sound from undercarriage below the arm rest everytime I go thru some uneven road or hole. Any idea what is the cause or how to rectify this.tq

No, the front arm is new.
the sound come from the bottom and i can feel it from my armrest,
I think is the rear diff part that is giving the knocking sound coz everytime i go thru the yellow line on the road it sound like the diff is knocking the chasis.

I had this problem b4, all you need is to check your Rear Diff mounting. Replace it, if the mounting isn't in good condition. To keep the mounting in good condition, try not to put the gear on "D" mode each time when you are in traffic jam or waiting for someone.

Small matter only  no worry. By the way, simply check you absorber mounting and the rear arm bush. But for the age of your car, it shouldn't have these problems yet. But it depending on your mileage and your driving style. B)

It should be the rear absober mounting la. i had this problem few months back. Mechanic said Rear absober mounting crack. So Change la.. Now no sound.

:yes!:
