Actually, the fuel consumption of an in-line 4 cylinder engine compared to an in-line 6 is insignificant. What you get in return is the wide grin on your face when you take it out on a winding road or on the highway, for that matter. This applies to the road tax as well...
Well, if I have a Mini Cooper S, I will be very reluctant to use it as a weekend car only. Holy sh*t, I will drive it everyday!!!
