For someone who doesn't want to take any risk and doesn't want to spend ( a.k.a waste to some ppl, :) ) time like me, I won't think twice not to get a used absorber set for E39 unless you know its history, knowing it takes so so so so much effort to replace the rear ones!!

I am confused.....

Occupational sickness :)

Anyway to summarize, I won't go for used shocks if I want to keep the car for at least another 3 years because I don't want to spend much time on this.

I must agree with u seewai..i also replaced the new absorbers for the rear knowing how difficult and risky the job is when they have to dismantle the pillars and risk on broken clips and panels....

Any removal is sakit hati to me. Eg sun shade & PDC sensors. So sakit hati when I poke the liner out of bumper to remove PDC...aiyo, suck-it hati lah.

Which is why even the simplest removal, I'd prefer the foreman to do it sbb x sakit hati kalo x nampak.

True2...i dare not risk my ride with my bad DIY skills..foreman does the job better..

Beg to differ....but not all foreman would do a better job than you would.

It's even heartsick to watch some machais to rip your panels apart without even the slightest care for the car.

I still believe "If you wanna get something done right you might as well do it yourself".

just my $0.05 :D

to bring this thread alive ......
i find that my ori springs & BOGEs combo gives me a rather soft ride.
for limited budget purposes, can anyone recommend a solution?
