Plan to buy second hand E46 to modify as a sport car, is that worth ?Additional Question: Is that possible I change the second hand E46 Engine and other part to the latest/newest BMW engine or other part? Please give me some guide... this is my first car =)

first, define what do you mean by 'sport car'? aesthetic? or pure performance? if the latter, you would be better off with an m3, high revving 3.2 L S54 M-tuned, naturally aspirated engine that produces 343 PS (252 kW; 338 hp) @ 7900rpm.. sounds nice eh.. pure orgasm it indeed.

if not you can go to the dark side, fix in forced induction aka supercharge..

my sport car is both aesthetic and performance.... i think i not going to get m3 because that is my first car.... if change engine need to register right ?

yup.. if change engine need to register or else if accident happens, cant claim insurance.. better off u buy 330 if u want performance, but i personally think that 325 would do just fine..

Since you're into sporty look, I suggest you get the 2 door coupe as a start.
You can go for 320i 2.2L with M54B22 engine to start with, at least.
Follow by direct engine swaps to 2.5L or 3.0L when you gradually want to move closer to "sport car".
Finale would be force-induction the 3.0L etc etc...

Last but not the least, kindly introduce yourself in the newbie section to allow us to know you a tad more :4:

Cheers.

Whatever you do, please don't marry it with a turbo Jap engine. It'll lose its soul.

u can put the bolt on turbo system, like bro ramsing did.. but dun convert it to Jap's engine like sr20, 1jz, 2jz, etc2.. keep it original as much as u can
