Thank you for coordinating the visit, I learned a lot despite been dealing with various authorised SC for the past many years.
Jimmy is very sincere in offering all kinds of assistance for us to make BMW ownership hassle free. His short speech changed my perception towards authorised SC.
Few things I gathered during the visit which I think is very beneficial to
all OMs here:
1. They provide professional opinion a.k.a. BMW car inspection at RM120 per inspection. This is very good for those who intend to buy a 2nd hand BMW, regardless of car origin, grey, CBU or CKD. A GT1 scan perform by unauthorised workshop will cost you a bit if your don't know the boss well.
2. They verbally told us 4-wheel alignment job which normally cost RM360 for an E90 only cost RM150 now, they did say they want to sell tyres and according to the brochure given to us, I still don't quite understand how the offer like. The brochure mention RM150 for 2 wheels with balancing but alignment no need balancing what?! And I did tell them their recommended settings from the KDS machine cannot pakai for our local roads, car will pull left. They did tell me that I can specified my own settings.. interesting..
3. Oil change service for 4-potter only cost RM399
4. They welcome us to patronise their lounge facility for free coffee, bring friends there, use their meeting room facility, etc..
5. As long as we can show our BCM membership card, they willing to make minimal margin on everything, include lifestyle merchandise!!
6. To willing to take in grey import cars for repair, T&C applies. i.e. they only responsible for parts and job performed.
7. They using Castrol Edge 5w-30.
8. They have body shop, they can do aluminum body rectification job and they can perform insurance repair, which make them the 3rd authorised BMW shop that can perform insurance repair. 1st being AB Glenmarie, 2nd being Ingress.
... and the list goes on, plus some that not so "convenient" to reveal.. meant to be within 4-walls information.. :4:
They also teach us how to obtain international warranty for our cars purchased in other country.
It has been a very educational trip and eye opener to me.
