Recently, my meter failed (nothing showed at meter, all dead but asc light). Sent to workshop and they replaced the meter with new half cut meter (without even asking me..grr)
Thing is, the meter is different (mine was with miles previously). That's ok. I confirmed that by using my BMW scanner, it is for different model, chasis, VIN didnt match.

Another thing that bothers me is that previously my scanner can read IKE & LCM, but now only IKE & EWS, which nothing shown in EWS but weird "FFFFFFF" figures.

a)Should i be concerned?
b) Why previously it reads LCM, now only EWS?

I attached the results from BMW scanner below, before and after.

the new cluster still keep info of the car it is taken from. you need to copy your car info into the new cluster. i cant remember exactly where they are kept and how to copy them. you can refer to my old thread because i did replace my cluster once, together with the setting.
