Very Nice .... and detailed write up too. Fuse box pun hang cover juga ? Very informative for the rest of us here. Why the use of the Line Output Converter ... very rarely used, de ?

Yippee .. another Streetwire user !!! That AC EQL is a sweet, sweet hardware. Good for you, Bro ... I'm aiming for the 30-Band EQ from Critical Mass Engineering ... budget tak cukup for now ...

P/S - Itu walking stick hang punya, ka ? Cheers.

very nice setup! can u actually hear the bass penetrating through to the cabin?
so young got tongkat already ah..kekek...

Dah tua, kadang kala kena pakai.

The output of the HU was HV speaker level signals, so I took the main signals form the front channel into the EQL and then into the amp. The EQL has a HV input. I wanted the fader so I put in an LOC for the rears straight into the amp.

Dont ask me for the write-up - tiga hari tiga malam you baca tak habis. I pactically wrote a thesis on it.

Still belum dress up the amp and EQL.

L4/L5 prolasped disc AKA slip disc or correctly crushed disc from a rolloer i had many years ago.

Bass - still not enuf tapi anak bini bising kalau bass too intrusive.

A word of caution, do not include the registration number of your rides in these pics. It would be a nice gallery for ICE thieves.

same here. umm.. how about making it next year? :D

Wah liao, despite posting my pic here I malu want to share the details of my setup leh after seeing and reading all the super duper ICE of the other forummers UDM's. Its like comparing a UDM to a KANCIL if I were to put down my ICE details so pai seh leh.

Anyway the ICE setup of the others are pretty awesome with some really good stuff in use. Keep posting and educating us all on the ICE setups. Wow!. :yahoo:

Guys,

Good or bad ... please post your set up. When you do get an upgrade later ... you can still reflect back on this thread and see the development / progress of your system ... So, please ???

Saat ... lovely schematic ... very informative. Will help me no less once I plan my active set up later this month !!! Thanks Bro.

The one key factor to consider when evaluating an ICE, is YOUR preference. Even within my small family, we differ from each other. I play my rock music loud (high bass and high treble - malay style). My wife likes it light and easy. My children likes high mids. So design a system that suits your needs and preference.

The main points to consider aboyt ICE is as follows:

1. System Design
2. System Components
3. System Tuning

All the above has to do with you, your budget, your car and the installer. For most of us, a relatively "inexpensive" (if ever there's such a thing) system can sound like a million bucks and match one costing much more if the other 2 components are just right for it. A lot has to do with yourself. Remember, who listens to the system most - YOU.

So given the above, show us your setup. No setup is too lekeh.

I enjoyed the design and build than actually listening to it. Anyway, I dont drive my car much these days.

A kanchil (driven by a lady in tudung) still beats me up Bt Lanjan.

Thanks Saat.

I agree with your views / thoughts ... ICE is more than just high end equipment. They help to some degree ..yes but there are the other 2 factors that comes into play as well.

A well set-up system wud have taken all these factors into consideration and sound very cohesive indeed.

1. Design
2. Hardware / equipment
3. Install / tuning / optimisation

Now you would probably know why a set-up with above average equipment sounds heaps better than a set-up loaded with the high end stuff. It's all about the 3 factors above ...

The adage is - get the basics rite and you will have a system that pleases your senses and would last for a long time. Upgrades will become easier and new hardwares can be easily integrated into the existing design due to the sound fundamentals in place.

Happy listening folks.

Wow, Linkwitz-Riley AC DXS. What is that next to it.

What are you driving with those amps?

Nice, more than I dared.

Abang Saat,

That looks very much like the Zapco Reference series amp. Looks like we've found our Mr. High End finally. Ngyoong, give us some details on your set up and hardware. Is that an Xtant amp next to the JL Audio amp ? Nice install there.

Cheers.
