I think I lost my footing

well, i might have exaggerated a bit with the title.. but, yes i did lose my footing analogically ..well the thing is, i took the jack out from my e34.. and now i'm having trouble to put it back to where it is supposed to be. I kind of forget how to put it back. as of right now, i just left the jack lying on the boot floor.I really need help, i can't stand hearing the jack sliding from side to side every time i take a bend, or hear it thump the floor of my boot every time i go over a bump.thnx in advance
