How to facelift e36 side/fender indicator lights to slimmer types?

anybody here have facelifted thier e36 pre 1996 big screw on side indicator lights to the slimmer push on post 1997 ones? what kind of work do i have to do to the fender to make the slimmer ones fit? will the bulb holder have to be changed too? any help and pictures will be much appreciated.

apparently you have to change the fender to the one from the facelifted model.
 
or u can do body work on it bro...means welding on ur current fender...abit too much trouble i tell u, anyhow the old skool looks suits the e36 better rather than single streamline signal light which is commonly found on the 46. just my 2 cents...

brings us closer to the "root"s of the post 1988 e30s...kekeke..
