Hissing Sound

I can hear a soft "hissing" sound coming from the front part of the car / engine at the speed of 130kph and above. Is it normal for E90 or I have to send to the SC for a check ?

Doesn't seem normal. Might be from the aircond where they are countless flap under the dash flipping regulating air flows and temperature.

I guess its the electric on demand oil pump. I also notice it when the car is run harder, the electric sounding humm comes on.

Sent to SC to check. They heard the sound but says have many possibilities and need a whole day to check. They suspect possible insulation problem that i can hear the sound but not sure where it is coming from. Have to send in again when I am free. Ma Fan...

Confirmed no H1N1 flu. Maybe new whistling virus....inside the car.

I can relate to that la.the SC assumes we have all the time in the world and that we probably have 125 other vehicles to use in the meantime....The slightest problem and they need the whole day to check...a so called non specific problem....very ma fan

Ingress is getting more popular. Very hard to secure appointment with them. Imagine, after 1 week from my eye check up, I still have to wait next week to get the controller replaced..and worst, it will take whole day to install the controller *bleah*

Yes it does sound that they have been overwhelmed over the past weeks. I've known other folks who had to take their car out from Ingress due to slow diagnostics and identification of issues faced and bring the car to AB. Hope Ingress can scale fast.

Bro ET, I think you have not driven your car fast & hard enough, thats why got hissing sound.
Welcome to the club of problematic E90s. Lots of issues are becoming very common to our E90s and its the norm for us to send our rides to SC all the time.(BMW= Banyak Masuk Worksyop.....). Moreover at SC they always require our ride to be in there for over a day or two to rectify the problems. Soon SC gonna be your second home liao...Trust me.

Hope the Doctor can threat your E90's flu soon.

For the next 3 years, I better drive harder since under warranty. Should have known you earlier before I bought the E90. Maybe cancel order and change to Subaru. Anyway, since SC going to be my second home, I have to learn to enjoy the Illy coffee provided. They should provide snacks as well, and with wifi, can hang around there 1/2 day.:smokin:

I go to SA. No cheese cake. Must give feedback that IA has more customers because provide cheesecake. Maybe next time I go there, they will provide pisang goreng. Must provoke SA a bit. IA is their biggest competitor.
