Out of curiosity, has anyone seen the actual light output from this very set? I get that this is not genuine Philips but IMHO, any manufacturer in the world can brand them to be patent licensed. Just abit skeptical thats all.

I'm actually interested but again, very skeptical. Rm320 afterall is not a lot but would be great if you guys have seen the actual light production of this set to make an informed decision. I'm sure a sample will make this list go on and on..and perhaps further discount for quantity purchases.

Current genuine Philips HID kit in KL is going for between RM1500 - 1700.

This patent licensed bulb is a real bargain if the light output is good!

Hope i did not offend anyone here. Cheers :smokin:

Who wants to be a genuine pig?

I try to get in touch with the company. The company said that they are the only one in China who have the authority to produce Philips Patent Licensed Bulb.

Bro, how to measure the dimension?

40mm is the diameter and 36mm is the height?

not very sure about the socket measurement, i believe it should be measured from latch to latch, diameter length and height. However, the E39-2A and 2B sockets supposed to be used for D2 xenon bulb. H7 bulb should be using E39-1B socket.

sorry, interrupt at this point (since inter-related:hmmmm2:)...anyone mind to advice what product/or by what effective method to clean the headlamp glass so that looks clear & new:D

The above pic is my existing socket. From the pic, u can see the latch is different with 1B socket.

yeap.. i noticed that. In fact my H7 HID bulb is currently fitted with the socket - 2A type (slighly different from 2B) which is similar with the latch of stock socket. It can be used but not 100% form & fit as compare to the stock socket. I got one pair (new) for spare if you are interested.

What i was told that 1B type is supposed to be used for H7 bulb, i will grab one for my H7.

if you only intend to clean the headlight external cover, a paint workshop can do it for you for ~ $100. The work will include polishing the scratched surface and putting a layer of coating to make it a fresh look.

The coating will make the lens look chocolate-ish after some time.

U have spare for the 2A or the stock socket?

2A can not fit the HID bulb as the face is not flat whereas the HID bulb bottom is flat, right.

Bro, can u take some pic for your low beam bulb holder?

yes, only one more pair of 2A socket i have. The surface of the socket is a flat type, only the bottom part of the socket is not flat (as shown in pic). This is fine bcos the base of the HID bulb is touching to the socket surface, not at the bottom.
I believe the 2A socket (with big whole) was designed for D2S but it can be used for H7 as well.

i can only show the pic when i got free time tonight.

What do u meant by 'not 100% form & fit as compare to the stock socket'?

Shakeable?

Yes bro, pls take the pic later.

Between, the 1B latch is totally different for our e39 low beam, bro.

not shakeable but just a bit loose bcos i have removed the rubber. It was too tight to fit with the rubber.

This is the 2A HID bulb socket.

yes, it was too tight with the new rubber band. so i just remove it, easy to lock in.

Do u still keep the rubber band? How much u want to sell?

bro, this is the new set of HID bulb socket (never used). The one with the rubber band removed still fitted on my car.
