Welcome. Don't jump into it. 2 things. First and foremost, your budget must include repair work, and replacement of wear and tear parts. Different people have different level of expectation for considering their car to be tip-top condition.
Secondly, I noticed a lot of owners here have good condition e30 because its their pet/2nd play car. A lot of TLC had gone into it as well. Maybe you can look for one here where a forumers/members letting go theirs.
