Hello everyone, i'm alex, just introduced myself in the newbie section and i seriously need help from you guys in purchasing my udm. :) I'm planning to purchase an e46 318ci, most probably by the end of the year. Any suggestions of good and reputable dealers around K.L and workshops to do an inspection in cheras? Do you guys think it's possible to get one for RM130k+? (The unreg ones) Thanks guys! :)

best you go for a 6 cylinder model. not sure if you can get an unregistered one for rm130k but second hand sure ada if you look around. 318ci u only get the body but not the excitement that comes with owning a sporty 2 door model. if you're into power, you'll regret in the long run cos there isn't any. depends really on what your approach is to cars.
cheers!

available range - 323ci, 325ci, 328ci, 330ci
best reference - star classifieds (daily) and motortrader (weekly)

hitman you forgot the 320ci 2.2l smallest six cylinder...

dolce i agree with hitman since you got the budget (130k) you can buy a sedan 320i or 325i... no offense to 318ci owners but since the price is going down further for e46's go for the 6 cylinder models.

Good luck in your search dolceaddict!

Thanks guys for the replies! I did check out a couple of 320ci but i'm not really happy with the condition (interior wise) of the car. There's this 318ci with red+black leather interior, s.roof, multi-function steering, elec. mem. seats going for 148k. Do you guys think the price is reasonable? Any recommendations on reputable dealers or workshops (cheras) for me to check out? Thanks guys! :)

Btw guys, do you think it's worth paying an extra RM10k for stuff like sun roof, elec. leather seats, multi-function steering? Personally, i'm looking for a unit in red but the ones that i see most of the time comes in either silver or black. How much does it cost to put on a new coat of paint, let's say for a unit like the ci? Sorry for the number of questions i'm asking....:)

I think if you want to find a good deal you have to widen your search a bit la buddy... KL,PJ etc

148k? what year? unreg? uk or japan specs? sounds fully loaded...

Come for meetups and let the members here help you.

Good luck!

the 148k is unreg, uk spec, 01. I'm actually looking for bmw mechs. in cheras area, not dealers.. :) Definitely don't mind going down to pj, d'sara if they have good units there :)

^ I understand what you going through cause i went through the same thing... i started out wanting a 318ci then after testing a few i found the power lacking thats why i ended up with a 6 cylinder model no regrets. Took me 6 months to get my car and i research top to bottom for my car!

Jan 2006 i found 1 yr2001 320ci japan spec unreg not as fully loaded as yours for 155k open price after nego it went down 152k if pressed i think they were willing to let go for less so yes i think yours a bit on the high side but i think you have not nego yet rite?

Yes! it is worth all the extra esp multifunction and memory seats cause they are extras that cost thousands.

Good luck

Thanks alot MRsamdol! :) I'll try and see if i could get a lower price for that unit when the salesman gives me a call. Any other places that i should check out besides those mentioned above and which spec do you think is better in terms of reliability, uk or jap?

Anyone know of any good BMW mechs around cheras? I came across this name 'M- roadster' in pandan indah from some other thread on this site. Anyone knows where this place is? (Add or tel. no. if possible)

Bump. No one willing to help? :(

Maybe because there are no good mechs in Cheras? IMHO all the good mechs in Segambut/PJ area I think. ;)

Yeah....maybe that's the problem with cheras...i think maybe i'd have to check out m-speed instead then...

No disrespect to Cheras, but I think mechs there are mostly for national cars and bikes. I'm new to BMW also. Where's m-speed and other good BMW mechs?
