[help] how to take off the whole headlight unit

sam, maybe your problem is due to the faston clip. they tends to loose its spring tension when it is corroded.

ya... but i think is not the clip problem
cause i put the corrode clip to the H1 bulb it lights up
than later on i move it than it broke...



but l really wan to say a big thanks to Jarance and all the guys here for help up
without your guide i wont know how to change it.

i noticed that my frens E39 uk spec comes with HID and he told me that it is factory fitted. the ballast are mnounted in the front, on top of the radiator. when i looked at it, the writing on the ballast is in german. Does that mean that E39's come with factory fitted HID. Cos i have seen many more that dont. Is there anywhere we can get those HID's??? If can than we just tell the "authority" that stop us that it is factory fitted, he can examine it and see that it has the BMW logo and everything written on it. Right?

from my experience...
usually authorities do not stop bmw

no offend, i think they not have much knowledge on german cars also
unless your HID is extra blue one.
