It quite tricky. I usually slide the signal lamp along with headlight.

Let me check my file first.

Use a torchlight and shine at the edge of the sidelamp. You should be able to see a zig-zag clip on the sidelamp.
Once you identify the zig-zag clip, use a long screw driver or a lever and push the clip away from the headlamp.
It should just pop out. Be careful as you might break the clip.

I have learn it is easier to remove the headlamp and sidelamp first. After removing both, disconnect the side lamp.

I think the ballast of the HID was purposely hidden below the light. Just in case you "kena block", pop up your bonnet and they won't be able to see the ballast, then you can tell them it's factory fitted HID, then escape :) Just my opinion coz I was offered to hide my HID ballast too, which I have not done so.

Goodluck

Thanks for posting those pics Jarance, they are very informative and easy to understand :) :top:

My HiD ballast is hidden under the light as well. :) I prefer it that way, less clutter in the engine bay.

but now when repair time.. will be big hassle
i plan to change back to original bulb...

if i still cannot access the ballast...
i just going to cute the wire that going to the ballast
and connect them to the original bulb

ooh... is the yellow and brown cable...
yellow goes to + on the H1 bulb originally
and brown goes to ground (connect near to the bulb socket)

yesterday i found the cable ....
so the easiest way for me is ...
1. take off the HID bulb
2. put back original bulb and connect them with yellow and brown cable
that should be the easiet way right?

wrong lah. if your is still yellow and brown, then there is no ballast. the voltage for HID is >1000V whereas the normal bulb is only 12VDC.

Post picture lah. How to advise when not sure of the mod by others.

Wah, no need to remove bumper meh?

Astroboy,
It is quite a straight forward process to remove the headlights like what Jarance has posted. I managed to remove one side of my headlights too thru DIY. No need to remove front bumper leh... If remove bumper by ourselves, later dunno how to fix back properly and we wil get bumper senget. '_'

Sam1741,
Yeah post some pictures of the wiring and stuff. It would be easier for us to see and for some of the members here to advise.

hi all~!!!
sorry no pictures.. cause my dslr bot shutter problem.. :(

anyway...
this is how the HID being modified in my car....
original brown/yellow cable ---> HID black/red cable ---> HID ballast ----> blue/red cable ----> HID bulb

so yesterday i disconnect the brown and yellow cable
and put back the original bulb
one problem is that
one of the yellow cable connector broke.. because it was so weak, and is rusted (not original)

so i have to go to my store room, and dig out another similar connector, and put it together

so finally... i got original light back. :)
